Sometimes even Google doesn't have the answer.
Several weeks ago, in a move of desperation, I googled “how to move to a new city as a 20 something”. The search results didn’t exactly soothe my nerves. The only advice everyone seemed to give was “budget”. Blah, I needed something more than that. You see, I’ve recently made the decision to uproot my life in Orlando and take myself to the artsy,...

Orlandoan's, do this tonight.
While browsing my instragram feed last night I kept seeing photos of this fantastic event taking place inside a fancy warehouse decorated with stringed lights. Thanks to The Daily City for posting some of those pictures and letting me in on the fun of this event called SNAP! taking place in Ivanhoe Village. Turns out its the largest photography celebration FL and tonight is the last night of the 3...

The Untold Orlando.

I refused to do the same ol’ things I did when I was in high school and it turns out there was many adventure to be had. For the next couple of weeks I’ll be posting things in...

Feminspire: The Man, the Myth, the Legend:... →
feminspire: I love men. Truly, I do. There is ample admiration in my life for the many courageous, thoughtful, and sensitive y-chromosomed people that walk among it. As a feminist, I am sometimes privy to the stereotype that I hate all men, a statement that could not be farther from the truth. And even…

How Parents Talk To Children About Consent →
Last week I was sitting in my car outside of Starbucks listening to ”Talk of the nation” and couldn’t move because I was so immersed in their conversation. I wanted to know more and share everything I learned with my friends and family.   Neil Conhen’s guest was mom, blogger, Huff Post contributor and author Shannon Colleary-Bradley. Last year she wrote a post called...

Comparison in the enemy of joy.
When you compare yourself to your brother, sister, coworker, strangers on instagram, people you don’t even know at the coffee shop, beautiful people on TV, the incredibly successful boy/girl you knew in high school, award winning authors, humanitarians or random people in line at 7/11 it robs you of your own joy and contentment. Remember that my friends as I try and do the same.

Fern Creek Elementary school is fighting for $20,000 from Walmart to pay for weekly snack packs for low-income students who would otherwise spend the weekend hungry and with tummies growling. This would sustain their program for over TWO years.  Vote DAILY here: http://bit.ly/10osli5
